Lebanese Taverna Restaurant Review: Hitting the big time with a showy site in the ritzy Tysons Galleria, the Lebanese Taverna restaurant group has a star in its crown with this upscale eatery catering to the carriage trade. Why not drop in for several mezzes, the Lebanese version of Spanish tapas, while shopping? Tuck into assorted little dishes plus an endless basket of puffy, hot Lebanese pita bread. We delighted in the crispy calamari, the lamb shwarma with tahini, the makdous (eggplant with pine nuts and pomegranates), and the sujok, the lamb and beef sausages with a tomato sauce. The full platter of shwarma would indulge ones lust for lamb. |
