About the restaurant: Left Bank Brasserie in Jack London Square in Oakland marks another expansion of the French restaurant founded by chef Roland Passot. (Vine Hospitality also operates Petite Left Bank, LB Steak, Camper and Meso Modern Mediterranean.) Arcsine, the Oakland-based architecture and interior design firm, created the décor with authentic elements such as wood bistro chairs, mosaic tile floor, fluted glass, polished brass shelving, and walnut wood flooring accents.

Food & Drinks: The menu presents options such as French onion soup, steak tartare, salade Niçoise (seared ahi tuna, egg, haricots verts and olives), steak frites, and coq au vin (red wine marinated chicken leg and thigh, bacon, carrots, mushrooms, pearl onions and buttered fettuccine).
