In a sun-drenched corner space along a stretch of North Williams Avenue, Lincoln Restaurant offers a seasonal, localized menu. From the concrete floors to the exposed wood trusses, the ambience parallels the no-nonsense cooking. Pastas can be ordered in small or large portions, such as a ricotta cavatelli with rabbit ragoût. A simple dish of polenta with Tesa ham, chanterelle mushrooms, sage and brown butter showcases the individual taste of each ingredient. The brief entrée menu typically includes a simple roast chicken, grilled hanger steak with blue cheese butter, and a few seasonal options such as local albacore with mizuna. For dessert, go old-school and choose a hot fudge or caramel sundae, or creamy chocolate pudding. Cocktail, wine and beer selections are varied and affordable, all served by an attentive and friendly staff.
