Lincoln Restaurant Restaurant Review

: Set on rapidly gentrifying North Williams Avenue, Lincoln is a bright space with concrete floors and exposed wood trusses. The concise, frequently changing menu is divided into small and large plates, although with the exception of the generous serving of roast chicken, differences between the two may prove hard to distinguish. Most of the starters include some nod to meat innards, whether it be the beef tongue or the fried pig ear with raspberry jam. Try items such as the razor clams with speck, romaine and feta; or bucatini with white beans, basil and ricotta. For dessert, go old-school and choose a hot fudge or caramel sundae or, at the height of the summer, a medley of figs, berries and cream. Cocktails are inventive and there’s a notable wine list, although it offers no bargains. Happy hour provides the opportunity to sample poutine with beef tongue ragù or if you prefer, hand cut rosemary fries, at reduced prices. Staff is attentive and friendly.
