: Native San Diegan-chef JoJo Ruiz helms this two-story eatery in Pendry San Diego, where modern coastal cuisine is the theme. Ruiz unleashes his talent at Lionfish, pulling ingredients from respected fishermen and local produce growers. The menu's trademark is Ruiz's nigiri flights that feature Baja hiramasa, Ora King salmon and Hawaiian big eye tuna. Other intriguing edibles include raw bar items and roasted Icelandic una salmon, along with duck confit tostadas, spicy grilled octopus, lamb tartare and dry-aged steaks.
