Lion's Den Restaurant Review

: For more than three decades, this family-owned and -run restaurant has been celebrating all things Detroit Lions; the walls and halls are covered with the team’s gridiron paraphernalia and there are TVs in every corner to ensure no one misses a play. Menu standouts include prime rib, slow-cooked and spice-crusted in either eight-ounce or 12-ounce cuts; sautéed or fried northern lake perch; and barbecue baby-back ribs. Plenty of appetizers, soups, sandwiches and salads with homemade dressings fill out the extensive menu. Check out the weekly specials, including Walleye Wednesday, when a lightly breaded Great Lakes filet is sautéed golden brown and accompanied with your choice of potato or vegetable. A nice array of gluten-free options is available, too. For dessert, consider the killer Snickers Pie with its chunks of candy blended with vanilla ice cream over an Oreo cookie crust. There's beer by the bottle or on tap and a smallish wine list plus cocktails, martinis, daiquiris and margaritas plus booze-splashed coffee concoctions and spiked ice cream drinks.
