Living Foods Market & Cafe Restaurant Review: Offering simple meals --- salads, pizza, panini, crêpes --- on site and gourmet selections ready to be cooked at home, this market/café is a niche concept for the island. Although created by Bar-Acuda chef Jim Moffat to highlight local products, it misses that mark with a meager selection of Kauai-raised meat and produce. Instead, much of the stock is imported, with prices significantly higher than can be found elsewhere. It’s a good place to find specialty groceries that otherwise aren’t available, though, and we also like the smoothies made from seasonal fresh fruits. |
