Local 186 Restaurant Review:

Located in the thick of the action on Provincetown's Commercial Street, this casual restaurant offers upscale burgers and great people-watching. The burgers are nice, but where the place excels is not with the patty and bun but the unique and fun array of toppings, from bacon jam to butter-poached lobster to fried avocados. There is a distinct emphasis on New England ingredients in the burger toppings, appetizers and the handful of salads --- think Grafton cheddar, local lettuces and seafood like mussels, oysters and lobster. Even with the aforementioned salads, the menu is truly for the gluttonous, with standouts such as The Gander burger topped with foie gras torchon and black truffle aïoli; and Alfredo fries finished with, as you would expect, a generous serving of Alfredo sauce. The restaurant has a full bar, although beer is the focus. Besides their own Local 186 Lager, be sure to check out the beer of the week.
