| Tom Douglas pairs Greek and Pacific Northwest cuisines at this vivacious Belltown eatery. The menu pays homage to Douglas' wife and partner Jackie Cross's Greek heritage, while taking advantage of the Pacific Northwest's culinary bounty. Bring a group of friends and simply graze, starting with an assortment of spreads from roasted red pepper to smoky eggplant and minted feta, all served with freshly made pita. At lunch, our favorite is the ouzo-splashed kebabs, especially the lamb, chicken and prawn skewers served with smashed potatoes. For a hearty dinner, order the juicy lamb burger served with chickpea fries, a whole roasted fish, braised rabbit with lemon and artichokes, or the fragrant, cumin-spiced leg of lamb. Can’t decide? Go for the Lola Big Dinner, well worth its $45 price tag, and grab tastes across the menu. Desserts rotate, but keep fingers crossed for the goat cheese turnovers glistening with honey and mint. As at all of Douglas' restaurants, the service is gracious and informed. |
