| With humble beginnings as one of Oakland’s many taco trucks, Los Paisanos de Colarina now enjoys an equally inelegant incarnation in a tiny storefront. But ambience is not the reason you go to a taqueria. In this case, it’s the fabulous tacos filled with pork al pastor, butter-tender tongue or juicy chicken. The fillings are also available in burritos and tortas, but they’re best appreciated in the tacos, where nothing distracts from the meat but chopped onion and cilantro. Order three of those little wonders along with an agua fresca. |
