| Sip fruity tropical drinks, feast on flaming pupus, and enjoy the kitschy décor at this tiki bar. Surprisingly located in a quiet urban neighborhood, the island oasis attracts a friendly group drawn to the festive, umbrella-decked cocktails and a casual menu of inspired appetizers and dishes. Sample the flaming pupu platter to discover what the kitchen can and can’t do, or order a selection of dishes such as the hoisin barbecue baby-back ribs, tangy house-made kimchi, spicy chicken wings, or rock shrimp pot stickers. Notable main dishes include fresh mahi mahi tacos, Japanese spice-rubbed New York steak with a cumin demi glaze, sesame and plum-crusted ahi, and a kalua pork sandwich. For dessert, the flaming Luau bananas Foster and warm chocolate brownies will inspire a hula. Enjoy the generous happy hour from 3 p.m.-6 p.m. on weekdays, and from noon-6 p.m. on weekends. |
