THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Luna Restaurant Review:

This hip, inspired west suburban café is a beacon in otherwise sleepy downtown Brookfield. Vintage lamps, Formica chairs that belly up to the exhibition kitchen and vivid purple walls lend sparkle and spark conversation. Items on the menu are brightly flavorful and visually inviting---if a bit redundant ingredient-wise. Delish dishes include the toothbrush-requisite, garlicky potato salad and skewered grilled shrimp with capers, parsley and lemon-garlic olive oil to start. Panini sandwiches are stellar---particularly when it comes to the panini jamon, baked ham slathered with marinated tomato and blue cheese gratin on grilled, herb-brushed crusty bread. Don't be deterred by the edgy servers. While they're not always the most attentive, service is generally well meaning and attitude is kept to a minimum.
