THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Kutsi Restaurant Review

: Located on the southwest corner of downtown Santa Ana’s historic Santora Building, Kutsi has tiled décor, flourishes of blue lighting, and a massive Dia de los Muertos display that smartly connect with the area’s history and culture. Chef Luis Fernandez crafts regional Mexican cuisine that is balanced between traditional and modern flavors. We recommend beginning your meal with a plate of grilled elote with Sriracha mayo and sautéed clams paired with generous crumbles of chorizo. These starters set the stage for entrées like the appropriately piquant stuffed seafood relleno and the must-order steak mole, both of which expand on expected taste notes without losing any integrity. Enchiladas and tostadas are also present. Be sure to save room for the Maria Bonita paste, a dessert that might draw to mind Key lime pie. The inviting bar is a comfortable spot to grab a mezcal-based cocktail or a sip of boutique tequila prior to your next DTSA crawl. Weekend brunch is highlighted by kicked-up takes on classics like huevos rancheros and chilaquiles.
