Mac McGee Restaurant Review

: What makes Mac McGee a standout is the house-made, rib-sticking fare, right down to the coleslaw and the mayonnaise and tartar. We found the Scotch eggs served hot with a mustard crème fraîche playing just a bit too fast and loose with tradition (they're usually served cold cut into quarters with serious mustard). The rest is all uphill: bangers are delectable. Four of them come atop very good mashed potatoes and gravy. Irish breakfast with black-and-white puddings and all the trimmings is a mainstay. Fish ‘n’ chips presents fresh tasting fish with a crisp coating. For dessert, share the whiskey bread pudding or have yourself a Guinness crème brûlée. Bypass the wines and instead check out the brews list, which ranges far and near (ask for the Three Taverns White Hops), the whiskeys and the list of Boilermakers. Also located 936 Canton St., Roswell Square, Roswell, 770-518-2866.
