Mac's Steakhouse Restaurant Review: Mac's Steakhouse in Huntington Village serves all-natural steaks and boasts a notable wine list. The menu also includes seafood as well as an interesting selection of appetizers ranging from pulled short rib dumplings and crab meat salad with avocado, tomato and lemon, to mac ‘n’ cheese with three cheeses, bacon and scallions. Something falls short, though, when the "signature surf and turf” proves bland and unexciting. The six-ounce lobster tail is devoid of flavor and has a rubbery texture, and its accompanying filet mignon seriously underwhelms the taste buds. Choose instead one of the dry-aged steaks, including a 60-day bone-in New York strip, for the true steak connoisseur. A frozen cappuccino parfait with cinnamon custard sauce and chocolate pecan crunch is a pleasant finish. |
