MacTarnahan’s Taproom Restaurant Review: With twelve distinctive brews on tap, MacTarnahan’s is first and foremost a place for beer tasting, and the sampler tray with five small tastes is a popular choice. Set in a little-traveled corner of the Northwest industrial neighborhood, the distinctive smell of brewing hops, the bright lights, and the convivial scene spilling out onto a comfortable patio draw in visitors. The menu is basic tavern fare --- Scottish pie, fish ‘n’ chips, burgers, nachos --- but it all goes nicely with the beer. Overall, this is a welcoming place for families. The unflappable servers do justice to their profession. |
