Maggiano's Little Italy Restaurant Review: Maggiano's aims to create a pre-World War II dinner house, complete with red-check tablecloths and black leather banquettes, plus high ceilings, big overhead fans and Florida palms. The Family Dinner options --- heaping family-style servings of food shared around the table, giving diners the chance to dig in --- is a pick-and-choose concept where each person tastes from passing platters: two appetizers (with choices such as cheesy spinach and artichoke al forno), two salads, two pastas (including linguine, chicken, pesto and pine nuts), two main courses (with variations of fish, veal and chicken) and two desserts (think fudge or pound cake or marinated bananas). But the restaurant also features single-serving selections, too. Desserts also include crème brûlée.
