 At the Oklahoma City branch of this steakhouse chain (there are also locations in Tulsa and Omaha), committed carnivores seem to smile a lot, thanks to an attentive staff that nimbly combines fine dining service with casual flair. The deep, rich mahogany stained wood panels and upholstered booths lend sharp contrast to the crisp white linens. Whet your appetite with an order of calamari, bacon-wrapped scallops, shrimp cocktail or trout dip. Prime-grade corn-fed steaks, broiled in a 900-degree oven, are thick, juicy, nicely seasoned and arrive sizzling on a heated plate. Pair your steak with sides, portioned for two, like creamed spinach topped with melted cheese, au gratin potatoes or fresh asparagus bathing in buttery hollandaise sauce. Nightly seafood specials might include a pistachio-crusted sea bass. Be sure to complement your entrée with a selection from the fine wine list. The “Something Chocolate” dessert changes frequently, but you can count on something memorable.
