THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Mallorca Restaurant Review: A touch of Spain on South Street, reminiscent of the dark, formal restaurants of Madrid, is a welcome alternative to the wave of Latin American food that is hitting town. It is, after all, the original cuisine, on which all of this was based, full of fresh fish and seafood, good pork dishes, lots of fresh vegetables and mucho garlic. French service is back, and the tuxedo-clad waiters practice it unobtrusively. What could be more pleasant than tapas on a Sunday afternoon with glasses of Amontillado?
