Mandarin Gourmet Restaurant Review: With daily specials and more than 100 items on the regular menu, there’s truly something for everyone at Mandarin Gourmet, and we’ve found the cooking to be consistent given all the options. The Chinese and Vietnamese dishes are all cooked to order --- you thankfully won’t find any buffet tables here, and they offer a brown rice option, too. Favorites include spicy Mongolian beef, crispy Szechuan eggplant and the spot-on beef pho with all the fixin’s. It’s also fun to order up the Treasure Basket --- a nest of fried, woven noodles served with a heaping mixture of stir-fried chicken, beef, shrimp, scallops and vegetables. Desserts include the usual green tea ice cream, and sometimes the random festive cupcakes that the kitchen makes on a whim. Bottled beer and wine are available. |
