This new incarnation of Marco Carrozza’s little Arch Street restaurant is spacious and comfortable, takes reservations and has a bar as well. The staff is still friendly and the food is still a mix of old favorites given the chef’s own interpretation (panko fried shrimp), basics like grilled fish or roasted chicken, or wild riffs on tuna (sesame-peanut coating) and tilapia (olive crust). In the lofty dining room, where the Plexiglas panels in the ceiling are painted to echo the tapestry in the banquettes, details are clearly important. Marco’s says that its stocks are made from scratch and herbs are picked daily. I believe it. Make sure to sample desserts like chocolate hazelnut pâté or deviled strawberries!
