| The bright Latin, Caribbean and Asian flavors on Marisol’s menus are a nice match with the expansive ocean views from the dining room and deck. Because it’s part of The Cliffs Resort, the seasonal offerings include a wide array of casual and upscale fare, from burgers to a seared rib-eye with bacon risotto. Favorites have included chanterelle mushroom soup, a grilled chicken club with jalapeño, and a seafood trio of grilled halibut, tuna tartare and shrimp escabèche. This is also a popular brunch spot, and with good reason --- the spread includes the usual omelet, waffle and carving stations, plus fresh sushi, shrimp or chicken fajitas, and house-smoked salmon. Be sure to save room so you can splurge on a chocolate éclair. Several microbrews are on tap, and the wine list offers a selection of Central Coast producers, as well as a few imports. The bar has TVs tuned to the big games, but the prime seats on sunny days are outside on the beachfront deck. |
