 Martini Modern Italian Restaurant Review: Martini offers a hip, fun Italian bistro atmosphere in the heart of the Short North. Business associates enjoy the opportunity to dine on Italian food in the decidedly relaxed atmosphere, set just across from the Columbus Convention Center. Expect some noise and long lines, especially on the weekends. Entrées include staples like veal Milanese and chicken piccata, but you'll also find some less-common flavor pairings---think salmon with butternut squash tortelloni and Burgundy-braised short ribs served with root vegetables and ultra-creamy mascarpone polenta. The wine list includes a sizable array of Italian varietals as well as Californian offerings, but the restaurant also is known for its cocktail menu, featuring herbal concoctions like the Apricot Sage: Woodford Reserve bourbon, apricot nectar, lemon and sage syrup. |
