THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Marty's Restaurant Review:

The world-renowned old Diplomat Hotel, where the notorious (such as Al Capone) to the famous (Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack) once held court, has sadly been leveled. A new, larger, more luxurious resort, opening officially in summer 2001, is slated to take its place. The signature restaurant, decorated in rich dark woods, leather and nautically inspired art, is planned to evoke the classic, posh feeling of a century-old New England club. Everything, from Beluga caviar to lobsters to prime steaks to dessert soufflés, is expected to be over the top.
