THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Masa 14 Restaurant Review:

The brainchild of DC’s Kazuhiro Okochi (of Kaz Sushi Bistro) and Richard Sandoval (of Zengo and others), this hot destination fuses the best of Asian and Latino flavors for some truly kicky dishes. Resembling the interior of a cheery pub, Masa 14 has the same ambience as well, with crowds drinking, eating, and chatting happily, a crowd that’s as hip as the food and the ultra-cool bar lounge. Many folks may come to socialize, but they should really take time to peruse the menu and dip into the tapas-like fare. Dishes are geared for sharing, but if you take a real fancy to the Thai chicken flatbread with a spicy peanut sauce or the pork and shrimp fried rice, you can keep them for yourself. Stumped about what and how much to order? Your friendly waitstaff will happily assist you, helping you gauge how much is enough or too much. The brunch menu also blends East and West, with such dishes as a kimchi pancake with poached eggs or a smoked brisket with poblano chilies and a chipotle hollandaise sauce.
