The Matador Redmond Restaurant Review: Dark wood, low lighting and large rustic wall decorations give The Matador a grown-up atmosphere (diners must be 21-and-over) and lounge-like vibe. Starters on the Tex-Mex menu are shareable, such as grilled stuffed jalapeño peppers, mushrooms sautéed in white wine and chipotle-garlic butter, and butternut squash quesadillas filled with caramelized onions and goat cheese. Braised pork shoulder and enchiladas verdes are among entrées. For a sweet finale, don’t miss the molten chocolate cake with vanilla bean ice cream and a rum-caramel sauce. The dimly lit bar --- check out the tequila selection ---is a welcome destination for a quick after-work drink. |
