Mavis Winkle's Irish Pub Restaurant Review: Although it has the sleek brass, glass and polished-wood look of a chain restaurant, this charming Irish pub is locally owned and operated. Boxty, Irish stew and hot corned beef may satisfy an Irish appetite, but more traditional pub foods like sandwiches, burgers, salads and seafood round out the menu. There is also a dedicated gluten-free menu with choices like fresh hummus and vegetables as well as corned beef and cabbage. No matter what you pick, finish with the bread pudding. It’s a house-made original crafted with walnuts, raisins and whipped cream and finished with a rich cinnamon whiskey sauce. The wine list is limited, so it’s best to opt for one of the draft beers.
