Born and raised in Hong Kong, chef-owner Ming See Woo expanded her background in authentic Chinese cooking while living in California, where she learned French-influenced Asian cuisines. Her split-level restaurant's décor is sleek and modern, with framed Asian etchings adorning the walls. Try the grilled lemon grass chicken salad with Mandarin oranges, candied pecans and spicy citrus dressing. Among Woo's specialties are tropical fried rice with roast pork, curry and raisins; and spicy Thai shrimp with basil and garlic. We like the creamy ginger-basil pasta with shrimp, salmon and scallops; and the stir-fried garlic mushrooms, asparagus and spinach with the sublime garlic-scallion noodles. Save room for the white chocolate bread pudding.
