McCormick & Schmick's Restaurant Review: This national seafood chain offers downtown diners a quality meal in an historic setting. Its location in a nineteenth-century building is awash with charm, with stained glass fixtures, original arched windows and a polished wooden bar. The restaurant boasts seafood so fresh that menus are printed twice daily, with 30 selections on any given day. The “fresh list” includes every water-dwelling creature imaginable, from crawfish to oysters to swordfish and everything in between. Landlubbers can opt for one of several steak or poultry dishes, and plenty of desserts are available to top off the meal. Happy hour is one of the best in town, with cocktails, wine, beer, burgers, mussels and calamari all under $6. |
