McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurant Restaurant Review

: Of the four McCormick & Schmick’s in greater Seattle (the others are on Fourth Avenue, Lake Union and in Bellevue), this one is the most elegant. A rich mahogany wood interior, gleaming brass fixtures and stained glass give the restaurant a retro men's club feel. Leading the menu is an extensive daily list of the fresh fish and shellfish prepared with a contemporary twist. House specialties include breaded and pan-fried oysters and clams, ready for dipping into tangy tartar sauce; petrale sole lightly cloaked in grated Parmesan with a lively sauce of butter, lemon and capers; and crisp-edged Dungeness crab cakes paired with chili-lime marmalade. There are plenty of meat and poultry alternatives, including filet mignon. The wine list is a mostly domestic affair with several choices available by the glass. Also on tap is a selection of local microbrews. For dessert, we recommend the chocolate sundae, berry cobbler or Key lime pie.
