Mediterranean Kitchen Restaurant Review: Located on a busy street, the nondescript storefront is often overlooked. But step inside and discover a pleasant ambience and well-prepared Lebanese dishes. Appetizers include spanakopita and tabbouleh, a traditional Lebanese salad made with chopped parsley, onions, tomatoes, olive oil, lemon juice and bulgur. But don’t overindulge on starters because dinners include soup, rice, pita bread, a garlic dip and Turkish coffee. Choose among beef, chicken and lamb in a variety of dishes, such as shish kebabs and shwarma. North African couscous can be ordered with vegetables, lamb or a seafood combination of sautéed prawns, scallops and calamari. The signature Farmer’s Dish features a mountain of tangy, marinated charcoal-grilled chicken wings complemented by a pungent lemon-garlic cream sauce. Vegetarian items are also available, including stuffed grape leaves. |
