Owner Lloyd Boothe has built a niche for himself in Mission, serving innovative fare in a smoke-free environment. Diners have several options: beyond ordering dishes of their choosing, which come with soup or salad, there are prix-fixe menus, too. Whichever you choose, chef Tyler Van Slyke will no doubt delight. Not to be missed among starters is the signature mushroom-Gorgonzola soup and sweet potato-wrapped shrimp with Boulevard Wheat-brown sugar glaze. Entrées range from coffee-braised short ribs to olive oil-poached escolar and winter vegetable potpie. For dessert, consider the plum-orange bread pudding with Sambuca crème anglaise. Wine pairings are optional with prix-fixe meals. An aside, Boothe caters to time-crunched business sorts with $8.95 lunch deals Monday through Friday.
