Meli-Melo Restaurant Review: Meli-Melo specializes in crêpes, serving them from breakfast to dinner. The versatility of crêpes, with an almost endless number of savory and sweet fillings, make them suitable for any time of day. Savory selections include the pissaladière with roasted onions, goat cheese, black olives, capers, fresh basil and roasted tomatoes, as well as the oversize shrimp seaweed crêpe with organic scrambled eggs, scallions, shredded carrots, bean sprouts and wasabi dressing in a buckwheat wrap. Sweet varieties range from the classic “miel et citron” (honey and lemon) to the confiture maison with three homemade jams. There are also a number of sandwich options, all created with fresh ingredients and a French twist, along with soups and salads. For those who feel they need to detox after a week of too much indulgence, the restaurant also offers one-, two- and three-day cleanses. The “Cardiovascular” with carrots, beets, apples and ginger, and the “Lymph” with lemons, apples, apple cider vinegar and cayenne pepper, and other mixtures target specific body systems to cleanse and revitalize.
