| The Melting Pot is Houston's only fondue restaurant. Whether you are revisiting a culinary fad of the 1960s and 1970s or discovering a new experience, you will discover that fondue dining is quite romantic, a little bit of work and lots of fun. The Melting Pot meal arrives in four courses with plenty of choices. For the appetizer we recommend, of course, making a cheesy selection like the mix of Gruyère and Swiss with white wine and a touch of garlic and nutmeg, perfect for dipping your bread cubes. Next comes the salad. Then, in lieu of good entrée choices like filet mignon, tiger shrimp and teriyaki sirloin and chicken, we suggest you break the bank and opt for the lobster indulgence, which includes it all. The meals are served with fresh veggies to cook along with the featured ingredient, and dip in an interesting array of sauces. Desserts are a hands-on affair, too, with fruit and sweets to dunk in a pot of hot chocolate sauce. This kind of dining can't be rushed, so plan to make an evening of it. |
