The Melting Pot refers not only to the diners from all walks of life that converge here, but also to the restaurant’s signature dish: fondue. Comfortable booths and banquettes and water gently cascading over decorative glass paneling in the softly lit dining room help create a casually romantic feel. If the atmosphere isn’t enough to set the stage for romance, sharing a pot of warm fondue certainly will. And share you must, because the fondues are designed for two or more, so don't come alone. Although the restaurant does offer a limited number of individual New American entrée options, for the optimal Melting Pot experience, the fondue is a must. Traditional Swiss cheese fondue combines melted Gruyère and Emmental cheeses, white wine, garlic, nutmeg, lemon and Kirschwasser. Those who prefer stronger flavors should opt for the cheddar cheese fondue with aged medium-sharp cheddar and Emmental cheeses, lager beer, garlic and seasonings. All are served with an assortment of vegetables and bread for dipping. If you have room, don’t leave without tasting the milk chocolate tiramisu fondue made with espresso. The wine list offers several affordable wines by the glass.
