Memphis Blues Barbeque House Restaurant Review: In a neighborhood where vegans and lacto-ovo vegetarians hold court, Memphis Blues Barbeque House stands proud as a meat-lover’s mecca. George Siu and Park Heffelfinger have been dishing out their brand of Southern-style barbecue for more than ten years, and their menu of classics reads like a Tennessee roadhouse. You'll find pulled pork sandwiches, ribs, barbecue chicken, catfish and beef brisket, to name a few of the offerings. Traditional sides include barbecue pit beans, coleslaw, potato salad, collard greens, cornbread and fries. The Elvis Platter weighs almost eight pounds and will serve six or more (think two linebackers). Custom-brewed Russell craft beer is the house brew on tap, rounding out a slate of bourbon and wine choices. Casual counter service means you’ll have to queue up for your ’cue.
