Andina Restaurant Review:

A complex blend of Indian, Spanish and even Asian cuisines, Peruvian food is hard to define. A large and slickly attractive restaurant, Andina introduces the intriguing dishes via a menu featuring “Entradas," Andean small plates ideal for sharing. Don’t miss the vibrantly-red piquillo peppers stuffed with a mix of quinoa, cheese and ham; the grilled octopus salad; or any of the imaginative, fresh ceviche choices. Entrées include “nuevo Peruvian” seared yellowfin tuna with orange zest, lima beans, orange wedges, endive, salsa criolla, and a gooseberry-aji amarillo sauce. The kitchen produces equally delectable desserts such as a creamy goat cheese and lemon cake; quinoa-studded cannolis filled with passion fruit mousse; and homemade ice creams and sorbets. With its emphasis on quinoa, corn and potatoes, the menu offers many gluten-free options. The adjoining Bar Mestizo boasts a popular happy hour and serves Latin American-inspired cocktails like a sweet-tart pisco sour and Cuban daiquiris. A notable selection of wines is available. Live Latin music plays nightly.
