Bob & Edith's Diner Restaurant Review:
For the past several decades, this unadorned diner has served basic food, calories and all, in the American way: big portions. Unlike many of its modern counterparts, this is the real McCoy with no contemporary frills. It’s also one of the best bargain-eats places in town. You can enjoy a full dinner of four pieces of fried chicken with mashed potatoes, gravy and vegetables plus a beverage for less than you might pay for a fancy-restaurant appetizer elsewhere. Breakfasts of eggs with steak, corned beef hash or pork chops, or possibly a pecan waffle, can start or finish your day. Otherwise, find hefty meat and seafood entrées, sandwiches, subs and fresh baked goods. The chocolate meringue pie is mighty tempting. Staff knows many customers by name.
