Boulton & Watt Restaurant Review:

Located in the former Nice Guy Eddie’s space on the corner of E. Houston St. and Avenue A, Boulton & Watt is a handsome gastropub, clad in ample amounts of exposed brick, industrial piping, and nineteenth-century metal knickknacks. The setting makes sense: the place was named for the two men who helped improve the steam engine. The menu, naturally, is loaded with hearty, seasonal-leaning pub grub like duck confit croquettes, chicken potpie, a better-than-average burger, and bread crumb-topped mac ‘n’ cheese. It’s all satisfying enough, especially when washed down with one of the ten (mostly) craft beers on tap or one of the handful of house cocktails, many of which are tequila-based. The small dessert list will satisfy a sweet tooth, but it may be best to just have another round of cocktails.
