Cafe Lucci Restaurant Review:
This north suburban trattoria serves the usual suspects --- carpaccio, calamari, pasta, chicken, veal --- plus a few additions like spaghettini matriciana, made with plum tomato, caramelized onion, pork jowl, chili flake, basil and egg yolk. Also try the bone-in veal chop, steaks topped with garlic butter or Gorgonzola-wine reduction, or the Pollo Peperoncino, a half roasted chicken with Italian sausage, olive oil, garlic, white wine, red peppers and spicy pepperoncini. Wash it all down with a selection from the extensive, carefully curated wine list, which features many options by the glass.
