Sure, the calamari is good and the antipasti are varied and well-prepared, but the bigger draw here is the sunny outdoor area where patrons can eat and play bocce ball. In this ancient Italian game, players bowl balls down a court (Campo di Bocce's is polyurethane), trying to get theirs closest to a smaller white ball. If your game is dining, you can whet your appetite with a house salad or a nice Caesar. Snack on a plain tomato and cheese pizza and enjoy a couple of the pasta dishes, including a spicy Calabrese sausage served with fresh marinara, roasted peppers and onions over fettuccine. Seafood, poultry and meat dishes round out the menu. Super-friendly staff is made up of many longtime employees, which lends a real family feel to the experience.
