CAVA Restaurant Review:

About the restaurant: If you happen to be staying at Renaissance Indian Wells Resort & Spa, dining at CAVA just makes sense. If you’re slumbering elsewhere, a trip to this eatery will not disappoint. This poolside venue offers a quintessential Palm Springs experience.

Likes: The ability to make your own smoothie.
Dislikes: The steep resort prices.

Food & Drinks: The breakfast buffet features hot and cold items, including made-to-order omelets, smoked salmon, griddled options topped with date crystal butter (procured from nearby Shields Date Garden), fresh fruit and more. Self-serve juicers allow guests to create custom blends of healthy beverages using a crop of seasonal vegetables and fruit. The light yogurt parfait is a pool of organic honey layered with Greek yogurt and Temecula berries. Lunch brings an array of burgers, sandwiches and salads, such as the BLTC wedge with jumbo lump crab, bacon, tomato and lettuce tossed in a traditional Louie dressing. Evenings give way to heartier fare like herb-roasted chicken accompanied by root vegetables and mashed potatoes. The adjoining dining rooms are lofty and modern. Here, grazers can live large as they sip from a thoughtful selection of wines or peruse the menu of handcrafted cocktails.
