THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Chianti's Italian Cuisine Restaurant Review:

Chianti's is a hub of activity in East Greenwich, a multigenerational melting pot where the bar scene is mature and lively, and couples and extended families comfortably dine side-by-side (especially on Sunday, which is family-friendly, all-you-can-eat "Pranzo" night). Start with something fun from the appetizer menu like the popular pulpettini beef and pork meatballs with cheese fondue on the side. The sandwich board is pretty standard stuff, but you can't go wrong with the Italian "grinder": prosciutto, provolone, salami, and roasted and hot peppers, topped with Italian dressing and served hot or cold. A four-cheese panino (mozzarella, provolone, Fontina, cheddar and tomatoes with horseradish aïoli) is one of four pressed-sandwich options. The majority of the menu is Italian once you get into the entrées. Rigatoni alla vodka features pleasingly firm pasta in a creamy vodka sauce. Step away from the typical chicken and veal choices and try the Saracena with roasted red peppers, asparagus and house-made mozzarella or the Leonel with artichoke hearts, sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms and diced tomatoes. On the seafood side, the thick cut of grilled swordfish delivers on its promise to be tender and juicy. Generous portions all. Desserts change nightly. Wines come primarily from California and Italy and there are a few Argentine Malbecs; most are available by the glass.
