House Without a Key Restaurant Review:

Doors are never locked at House Without a Key, Halekulani's casual open-air eatery. With gentle tradewinds blowing and the lilting sound of live Hawaiian music playing, it’s easy to linger here while having a meal. Lunch fare includes light salads, classic sandwiches and a few more substantial items such as a loco moco or bratwurst. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, don't miss the chefs firing up the kiawe-wood-burning grill for a beachfront barbecue, preparing items like a sumac-crusted fresh catch of the day, lobster with lemon grass garlic butter, baby-back ribs or New York strip loin dusted with black lava salt and served with a soy-citrus sauce. Drinks are substantial and come with a basket of homemade potato chips. This is also a popular spot for locals to bring out of town guests to enjoy a mai tai and slice of Halekulani's famous coconut cake. If you’re lucky, you might just catch one of five former Miss Hawaiis dancing the hula with the sun setting into the Pacific behind them.
