Kozo Sushi Restaurant Review:
This sushi-factory chain from Japan started small in Hawaii in 1980, and has since expanded to several locations. You’ll find traditional rolls to way-out-there creations, such as the Ono Fiesta maki made with shrimp, salmon, avocado and barbecued potato chips. We particularly enjoy the dragon maki, which is a shrimp tempura roll topped with spicy ahi and drizzled with kabayaki sauce. Locals pop in to grab lunch boxes, or big party platters for an extended-family gathering. The hours are somewhat erratic and the shop closes at 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and at 6 p.m. on Sunday.
