Kruse & Muer on Main is one of those any-occasion destinations: great for Friday night with friends, ideal for after-work drinks and laughs, and appropriate if you’re looking to avoid long silences on a first date. Adding to the appeal, the space isn’t too big, the setting is friendly and the food is consistent. With all the bustle, it can get noisy, however. The menu includes dishes like a grilled chicken salad, shrimp and artichoke fettuccine, a catch of the day and pizzas. Gluten-free selections are plentiful for both lunch and dinner. The kids' menu has smaller portions of adult entrées, such as fresh salmon or whitefish, and linguine with tomato cream sauce, along with the usual pizza and flash-fried chicken strips. A particularly nice touch is the free hot drink in winter or cool drink in summer that is offered while you wait for a table. Sports fans can watch the game on TVs at the bar and order from the raw seafood bar. There's a carry out menu as well.
