La Parolaccia Osteria Italiana Restaurant Review:
Casual, charming La Parolaccia (translation: “the bad language”) is a modest Italian eatery, serving a neighborhood clientele. A series of three rooms decked out with travel posters, soccer paraphernalia and Ferrari-oriented collectables (even a Vespa), La Parolaccia is the kind of place you order an unpretentious carafe of Chianti and begin a meal with caprese, carpaccio or calamari. The wood-burning oven produces authentic thin-crusted pizzas and hefty calzones. Pastas, such as the classic meat lasagna or the al dente linguine with clams and artichokes in a white wine and garlic sauce, are very reliable. Entrées include chicken Parmigiana and veal scaloppine. Be sure to follow that with any of the homemade tarts or tiramisu.
