Piazza Bella Restaurant Review:

About the restaurant & décor: Piazza Bella embodies the classic Chicago neighborhood restaurant with its storefront setting and quaint location along Roscoe Village's main drag. High-top tables line the left perimeter of the dining room, lending a casual elegance to the space. Wood beams cross the ceiling above a long bar, where patrons can stop in for a quick Pinot or Peroni before heading home.

Likes: Fresh, house-made pastas.
Dislikes: Limited patio seating.

Food & Drinks: In the spirit of Italy's communal piazzas, Piazza Bella offers authentic Italian dishes made with market-fresh ingredients. Entrées include oven-baked chicken breast rolls stuffed with prosciutto, spinach and mozzarella and agnolotti filled with sea bass and shrimp, finished in a lobster sauce with baby shrimp and arugula. Classic and comforting are options like chicken Marsala, chicken Vesuvio, tagliatelle with Bolognese sauce and cappellini with tomato-basil sauce. That said, the gnocchi with four-cheese sauce is hard to beat. It won’t be easy, but try to save room for traditional desserts, like tiramisu. There’s a decent wine list, too.
