THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Ru San's Sushi Japanese Restaurant Restaurant Review:
With the nearest coastline hundreds of miles away, Nashville is no sushi powerhouse. But if you like over-the-top rolls with lots of ingredients, Ru San’s offers plenty of pleasant diversions such as the Seven Color Rainbow roll with tuna, yellowtail, squid, octopus, red snapper, salmon, shrimp, avocado, crab stick and smelt roe. All the nigiri-maki-tempura standards are available; if you can't find the menu listing, just ask your server, though you'll likely wait a while if you're dining with a large group. The kitchen offers up several Pacific Rim-inspired entrées, plus noodle dishes, soups and an extensive yakitori menu. The lunch buffet is a feast at a good value. The dessert list is short and includes some sweet “sushi” rolls as well as bananas Foster. Wine, beer and saké are offered, but nothing spectacular in terms of wine.
