Salvadoreno Restaurant Review:

This north of downtown haunt, set on an industrial stretch of the main drag in downtown Vegas, serves the mild, sweet food of El Salvador, in a baby blue dining room decorated with flags from around the world. The star dish here is the pupusa, a round stuffed pocket of masa with pork, cheese or loroco blossoms in the center, eaten with a tart cabbage relish. Plato tipico Salvadoreno is a massive platter of tough, tasty flank steak, a terrific rice and bean pilaf called casamiento, and cinnamon dusted fried bananas. Authenticity is heightened by a bunch of local Latinos, clad in Modelo T-shirts and looking vaguely contented.
