Second Street Grill Restaurant Review:

Understated elegance sets the tone for this Art Deco restaurant. A friendly bar, rich teak wood, recessed ceilings and chandeliers emitting subdued lighting enhance the relaxing ambience. For starters, we like the pan-fried crab cakes with tomato salsa. Louisiana crab meat-stuffed prawns with cappellini in mascarpone cream or tomato-basil sauce is a winner, as is the sesame seed-crusted mahi mahi with lime-saké sauce. Blackberry-glazed Chinese-marinated roast duck comes with roasted sweet potatoes. Carnivores like the 16-ounce rib-eye served with pesto mashed potatoes and the grilled Mongolian lamb rack with Cabernet-hoisin plum sauce served with stir-fry vegetables. Save room for the crème brûlée trio (Tahitian vanilla, mango and chocolate) or the almond profiteroles filled with vanilla ice cream, topped with chocolate and caramel sauces and hazelnuts.
